Gunila Larsdotter

She was born in 1677 in Sunne, Värmlands county. Her parents were the farmer Lars Larsson and his wife Marit Larsdotter.

In 1699 she left her parents home as she got married to Nils Månsson. Two years later she and her husband lived on the farm Måsserud in Alsters parish, Värmlands county.

In the same year, on June 11 1702, their first child was born, the son Lars. Their other children: Kersti, born February 20 1704, Maria, born January 9 1706, Måns, born January 4 1709, died January 12 the same year, Måns, born June 15 1710, Margareta, born May 20 1713, Annicka, born August 24 1716, Johan, born May 28 1720.

She lived in Måsserud until she died, 45 years old, on February 6 1723. She was buried on February 18.

In the churchbooks it is written that she early learned to read and write, she often went to church and she had lived in peace with her neighbours. On January 30 she got sick by "pain in her chest and on the right side" and she got the last Holy Communion on February 5.
