Petter Hansson

Petter was born on October 28 1731 at Forsnäs Mill in Alsters parish, Värmlands county. His parents were the master smith at Forsnäs Mill Hans Persson and his wife Britta Håkansdotter. He was baptized on October 31 and grew up with his parents at Forsnäs Mill.

In 1758 he served as a farmhand on the farm Uved in Nedre Ulleruds parish, Värmlands county.

The same year, on October 15 1758, he married the maid Margareta Andersdotter from the farm Uved, where she she had grown up. He gave his wife "20 lod silver" as a morning gift. After the wedding they lived at Uved for some years.

In 1760 they moved on to the farm Karsbol in Nedre Ulleruds parish. His sister, Margareta Hansdotter, and his brother, Håkan Hansson, also came to live with them at Karsbol. How long they stayed is not yet known.

Petter lived at Karsbol for the rest of his life. He died on March 9 1796, 65 years and 4 months old. The farm was then taken over by his daughter Britta and her husband Olof Andersson. Petter was buried on March 20.
