Johanna Bergström

She was born on May 1 1794 on the farm Frötuna in Rasbo parish, Uppsala county. Her father was the Shoemaker Johan Bergström and her mother, his wife, Anna Greta Kolm.
She was baptised "Johanna Margareta" and called "Johanna".

The family lived in Frötuna until the following year. In 1795 they moved to Johannesberg in the same parish. The year after that they moved to Landbron, also in the same parish. Here they lived until 1800 as they moved to the city of Uppsala.

In 1813 she lived with her parents and her sister at the address "The priest Winboms house" in Uppsala.

In 1815, 20 years old, she had her first child, the daughter Carolina. Carolina is also noted to be living within the family at the address "The priest Winboms house" in Uppsala, so we can asume that they lived that until after 1815. No name of the father was noted in the church book.

In 1818 her second child was born, the son Johan Gustaf. By that time Johanna Margareta was 24 years old. The name of the father is not given in the churchbooks. Totally she had six children, all of the children were born in Uppsala and the last four children were "illegitimate children" according to the churchbooks.

She died on June 6 1872 in Uppsala and was buried on June 9. She died from "Chronisk pneumoni". In the church books she was noted as "Unmarried Johanna Bergström" without any permanent residential address.
