Maria Andersdotter

Maria was born on October 3 1791 on one of the farms in Kollerud in Eds parish, Värmlands county. She was the second child to the farmer Anders Christophersson and his wife Ingeborg Jansdotter.

Maria lived with her parents until 1815, when she, at an age of 24, married the farmhand Bengt Jansson from the farm Höjen in the same parish. After the wedding she moved to her husband in Höjen.

In 1817 the family moved back to the farm in Kollerud and the following year on to the farm Angerud in the same parish.

In the beginning of 1826 her father died and the family moved back to the farm in Kollerud.

She lived on the farm in Kollerud for the rest of her life and died, at an age of 70, on October 28 1861. By that time she had been a widdow for more than six years.
